Jens Daniel Frederik Møller

Jens Daniel Frederik Møller was born on the 5th of January and christened in Ørum church on the 30th of May 1858 as son of schoolteacher and cantor Christian Peter Møller and wife Chistiane Møller born Thise of Ørum School.
Godmothes and godfathers were: Marthoine Doorthea Christensdatter, sexton Anders Christensen's wife of Bjørnsholm, girl Maren Christensdatter of Ørum, Christen Jespersen, Nymark, Anders Christensen, Bjørnsholm and Thomas Jensen Nymark.
The mother 41½ years old.

1872 on the first Sunday after Easter the 7th of April were 7 boys confirmed in Vadum church:
Nr. 2 Jens Daniel Frederik Møller in Guldager School with the mark mg (very good ) both in knowledge and behaviour.

At the census paper in 1880 he is listed as a farmhand, temporarily absent in Guldager, Vrejlev parish and might be in Vejby, Hjørring.

On the 26th of July 1888 bachelor farmer Jens Daniel Frederik Møller of Hvorup Mosegaard, and spinster Ester Salome Louise Nielsen of Hvorup Mosegaard were married.
To give away were: Line-keeper Niels Nielsen (bride's father) and farmer Søren Christian Pedersen of Hvorup Mosegaard.
Publication of the banns 1st time on the 1st of July 1888.

From the wedding-papers are seen that both served at "Hvorup Mosegaard" and it might be here they learned to know each other.

They bought a small farm "Engholm", Land Register Nr. 19 a Vestbjerg Bye, Sulsted Parish.

At the census paper in 1890 is listed one person in service namely Anders Christian Møller, 45, unmarried. He is Jens Daniel Frederik Møller's halfbrother. He is also seen as godfather at Nikoline Møller's christening in 1892. At the census paper in 1906 it is seen that Niels Nielsen, 80 years, Ester Salome Louise's father, is living with them and at the census paper in 1911 that he has been in the parish since 1901.

"Engholm" burned about 1904. It has not yet been checked up on when and how it happened as I neither have found out when they bought the farm.

Silverwedding was celebrated at "Engholm" in the summer of 1913. The following song is from then.

In January 1929 they sell the farm to the daughter Nicoline, who in December 1928 had married farm-bailiff at "Engholm" Peder "Per" Jacobsen Jensen of Engholm.

In the deed of conveyance is the following put down as a contract:

The pension on own farm was already canseled the year after - Which of who did this is uncertain, but Per did not want Frederik to interfere with the farming, why they had to move.

The son Niels had bought a small-holding in Ferslev to which they moved.

As former farmer of Ferslev Mark and parish, Fleskum District, Jens Daniel Frederik Møller died on the 26th of june 1931 at Aalborg County Hospital and was buried at Sulsted churchyard on the 2nd of June 1931. He was married to survivoe Esther Salome Louise Nielsen, who lives in their common home with the son in Ferslev.
He was 73½ year old.

Esther Salome Louise Nielsen

Esther Salome Louise Nielsen was born on the 12th of December 1865 and christened in Gudum church on the 12th of May 1866 as a daughter of housrenter Niels Nielsen and wife Nicoline Petrea Krebs at Gudumlund Factory.
Godfathers and godmothers were: Hired manager Niels Christian Lassen and wife Inger Cathrine Nielsen of Kjeldgaardene, furnituremaker Johan Hjelm and wife Maren Friis at Gudumlund Factory, bachelor and blacksmith Jens Christian Jensen ibd. (At the same place)

She was confirmed on the 4th of April 1880 in Sulsted church as nr. 6 with the mark mg (very good) in knowledge and behaviour.

As a farmer's widow of Ferslev Esther Salome Louise Nielsen died on the 12th of Novenber 1936 and was buried on the 17th of November same year at Sulsted churchyard. She was widow after former farmer of Engholm in Vestbjerg, Jens Daniel Frederik Møller, who died at Aalborg County Hospital on the 26th of June 1931.
Their last home together was with the son in Ferslev.
