Anders Hansen

Anders was born the 8th of March 1833, 11 am, christened at home the 10th and presented in the church of Hallund the 8th of April same year, as a son of husmand (small-holder) Hans Christensen and wife Kirstine Laursdatter on Hobbelstrup Mark.
Witnesses were: small-holder Niels Christian Carlsens wife Ane Jensdatter 0of Nyemark, Marie Nielsdatter of ??, small-holder Laurs Christian Ovesen of Lille Hedegaard, bachelor Jens Pedersen of Hedegaard and Christen Simonsen here in Øster Hæbelstrup.

He had his confirmation the 11th of April 1847 in the church of ØsterbrØnderslev as number 5 with the grade 'Really good' in knowledge and very good moral.

Bachelor, gardener Anders Hansen was the 5th of May 1857 married to the girl Martine Gunilde Strætt in Aalborg - Vor Frue Kirke.
Best men were Gardener Nielsen and chiefcarpenter A. Christensen.

When Anders is moving to the big city is not known, but in September 1855, where he has been alleged as father, he is stated as dragon of Øster Hæbbelstrup. In May 1857 he is a gardener and after that his position is respectively breweryworker and worker.

As such he dies the 24th of April 1898 of a cerebral hæmorrhage and he is berried from Budolfi Church on Aalborg Almenkirkegård, 65 years old.

From the list of the administation of his estate is seen, that he got old age provision, and that he had a wife and 7 children.
I have not been able to find the 7 th child, possibly it can have been a mistake by writing. The family moved very much around in the centre of Aalborg.
In that way they are at the census 1860 living in Store Nygade, at the census 1880 Tiendeladen 6 and at the census 1890 in a backhouse in Jomfru Anegade 11. At the death of Anders they lived Vesteraagade 10.

Martine Gunilde Strætt

Martine Gunilde was born the 16th of August 1829 and christened in Nibe Kirke 26th of December same year as a daughter of Otto Andersen Strætt and Dorthe Jeppesdatter.
The witnesses were: Madam Jespersen, virgin Könighaus, R. Færch, Westergaard and Adolf Ramsing.

She had her confirmatin 14th of April 1844 in Nibe Kirke as no. 14 with the grade mg (very good) both in knowledge and behaviour.

At the census 1845 she was a maid at the grocer Niels Nielsen, Store Grønnegade 249, Nibe. When she gets her first child in September 1855 it is stated, that she at the time of made pregnant she stayed at the grocer Herskind on Vesteraa in Aalborg.
She was single mother about 1 1/2 years before she married the father of the child- probably not very fun at that time - and how she provided for herself and the child and how she lived, still is not known.

She died the 11th of March 1905 in the parish Aalborg Budolfi and was berried on Aalborg Almenkirkegård the 16th of March same year. She did not leave anything.
